Our rugged landscapes are a true treasure, yet they also reveal a surprising vulnerability. Even unassuming desert potholes cradle a vibrant array of creatures, each as exceptional as the grand landscape that envelopes them. The living biocrust that delicately covers our desert terrain stands as a cornerstone of a thriving ecosystem, deserving of our utmost care.
