[Moab, UT] – Visitors to Moab, Utah will soon have an opportunity to give back to the community and landscapes they recreate in during the Moab Trail Mix Committee’s annual “Spring Spruce Up” volunteer weekend.

Volunteers will spend the weekend helping with a wide variety of conservation projects that contribute to the preservation of Moab’s beloved recreation areas and trails. Past Spring Spruce Up projects have been led by partner organizations including the Grand County Weeds Department, Backcountry Horsemen of Canyonlands, and Rim to Rim Restoration.

Volunteers can choose which type of service project they are most interested in—such as maintaining equestrian, hiking, mountain biking, and climbing approach trails—and will then be assigned a project.

“Moab is known for our world-class non-motorized recreation. Grand County’s TrailMix is dedicated to making sure these trails are well-built and accessible to everyone,” says Trail Mix Committee Chair Colin Topper. “Last year, we had a great response from Moab visitors and residents alike who wanted to contribute to the improvement and maintenance of our trails in Grand County. If you’d like to spend a beautiful April weekend getting dirty and making a difference for the trails you love, please join us at Spring Spruce-Up!”
